I haven't played Aion yet but am definitely intending on buying it as soons as it hits the shelves in Australia
!
Before I have some newbie questions though which I hope you guys can answer.
1) When I purchase Aion in Australia, will I also be able to install and use this game version in Europe, e.g. Germany?
2) Could I transfer my character from an US server to an European one or vice versa?
3) Will it be possible to download patches from a web site and apply them later on my home machine (like World of Warcraft for instance) or can I only update on my home machine with Aion installed on it, i.e. using a specific Aion updater or something like it (like Age of Conan for instance)?
4) How important are the farmable resources from the starting area for the later gameplay in Aion? In Lineage II for instance really all resources (even the ones you could collect in level 1 areas) where crucial no matter what level you were. If you then sold most of it when you were low level, you might have loads of problems later when crafting etc. In World of Warcraft on the other hand all resources from low level areas lost their usefulness/value once you were something like 10-20 levels above it. Should I collect and keep all resources in Aion from the beginning on in order to save a lot of money later in the game or can I sell them once I passed a certain level, for they aren't really valuable for high level players anymore anyway?
5) Does the two selectable races (Elyos and Asmodian) have any special advantages compared to the other race? For example: do all Elyos players have a healing skill while all Asmodian players have a special attack skill or something like that?
5.1) If question 5 was yes: what race would be best suited if I wanna play a tank, i.e. Templar?
6) If my character is killed by another player or NPC, is there a chance that I might drop an item such as a weapon or armor part etc.?
